Burns Night at the Watermill

Until Next Time

Thank you for joining us for Burns Night. We are already busy working away on our plans for Burns Night 2025 and we can't wait for you to join us! Sign up to our email club to be the first to know about Burns Night 2025, as well as competitions and upcoming events.

We have an incredible evening planned for you this Burns Night on Thursday 25th January. Of course there will be live poetry readings to honour old Rabbie the right way – but it doesn’t stop there. Our biggest Scottish event of the year wouldn’t be complete without the bagpipes. Expect musical accompaniment throughout the evening as we get the whisky flowing and the merriment in full swing

An Inspired menu

Now to the menu. What sort of Burns Night would this be without haggis, neeps and tatties? That really is just the beginning though, as our team have been hard at work crafting up a bespoke, Scotland inspired menu that will take you to the highlands and beyond. For your main, a choice of Angus beef, Scottish cod and McSweens haggis wellington gives you an incredible choice each with a selection of delicious accompaniments that will have your mouth watering. Sticky braised brisket and bone marrow crumb arrives alongside the Angus rump. Brown crab and barley risotto meets our Scottish cod, and our vegan wellington is served with incredible maple roots in a red wine sauce.

Our Burns Night four-course set menu is priced at £39pp, with a £10pp deposit at the time of booking.

room for more?

We appreciate how long it may take you to choose between the options for your mains, and whilst we’re leaving starters a secret for now (view the full menu here) we’d be remiss if we didn’t call out some of our favourite puddings that will be available. You’ve tried Eton Mess? How about Cranachan Mess – toasted oats, Drambuie (of course), vanilla cream, meringue and honey comb. Just to give you even more amazing options to choose from, we’ll also have a Lemon curd parfait, Cherry & almond crumble, Chocolate marquise and our Thyme & honey cake. They’re all as delicious as each other, so it might just come down to stealing a bite from your friends while they’re distracted by the bagpipes

Raise a glass

Finally, we couldn’t really call it a proper Burns Night celebration if we weren’t raising a glass and toasting Rabbie himself – and what better way to do that than with a flight of whiskies. Each aged for a balanced 12 years, you can enjoy a Glenlivet single malt, Chivas Regal and Aberlour single malt. Then to finish things off sweet, we’ve got a little Scottish tablet for you to enjoy.

We hope you’ll join us for an evening of laughter, poetry and Scottish tradition.
